RULES & REGULATIONS EAPM 2023 FOR INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATIONS

Call for abstracts to be presented during the 2023 EAPM Conference on 15-17 June 2023 in Wroclaw, Poland.
Theme: Looking across the bridge. Dialogues between professionals
Individual presentations submission deadline: 31.01.2023
Decisions will be made by 28.02.2023.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM
Individual presentations need to be submitted through the online submission form.
Proposals submitted via e-mail or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Please, read the guidelines detailed below before sending your proposal.
Rules, regulations & guidelines
  • Abstracts should deal with research topics from the list provided below.
  • The author of the abstract is not required to be an EAPM member.
  • The author of the abstract will be required to register for the EAPM Conference if the abstract is accepted.
  • Abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee using a variety of criteria including scientific merit, theoretical or methodological innovativeness, and compatibility with the regular program.
Abstract format
  • 1. The abstract should be submitted in English.
  • 2. The title must provide a short clear title reflecting the content of the abstract. Use generic names only, no commercial names.
  • 3. Abstract text: maximum 250 words.
  • 4. Title, authors, and affiliations must not be included together with the text, you will find specific text fields to include this information.
  • 5. The following items have to be covered in the abstract text:

    For original research:
    • Aims: describe research background, the working definition and/or hypothesis.
    • Methods: applied methods, including the number of patients.
    • Results: please present a summary of the most important results based on sufficient quantitative and statistical data.
    • Conclusion: please present a conclusion based on the results.

    For case reports:
    • Introduction
    • Case Report and Intervention
    • Conclusion

    If your proposal does not fit this structure please, select “other” and structure your abstract appropriately. 
    Please do NOT include a list of references at the end of your abstract. 
    Please note: it is not possible to include images/tables/figures in your abstract.
  • 6. All abbreviations have to be written in full text and explained upon first use.
  • 5.- Previous publication/presentation: you will be asked to indicate whether the abstract has been previously published and/or presented at a conference (this will not necessarily be used as grounds for acceptance/rejection).
Poster prize
The poster prize will be chosen from e-posters selected for a presentation during the poster sessions. Eligibility will expire if the author is not present at the poster session. Criteria for the poster prize are:
  • Relevance of subject for the field of psychosomatic medicine
  • Highest scientific soundness of methods
  • Originality and novelty
  • Presentation on e-poster (design, structure, clarity, layout)
  • Oral presentation at the e-poster session
Publication of abstracts in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research (JPR)
All abstracts accepted for the conference will be published on the conference website. In addition, abstracts may meet the higher standard for publication in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research. The decision/selection of abstracts to be published in the JPR is made based on the regulations of the JPR.
